Where healing & growth go hand-in-hand
I am Charmaine, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) committed to assisting individuals, couples, and families in managing the intricacies of their relationships and emotional struggles. A healthy relationship is crucial for a happy life, and my goal is to encourage constructive changes and promote strong bonds between loved ones.
Education and Credentials
I have a Master’s Degree in Couple and Family Therapy, specializing in Sex Therapy, from Thomas Jefferson University. I have over 10 years of experience and I am currently working towards obtaining a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology from Modern Sex Therapy Institutes. Additionally, I am a Certified Sex Therapist through the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT) and an Approved Supervisor through the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).

MY APPROACH
My style is low-pressure, with a blend of personal and systemic work.
While it can be challenging to start therapy, I aim to provide clients with a safe and supportive space to improve their relationships with themselves and others. An integrative assessment tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client guides my collaborative approach. Confidentiality is of utmost importance to me, and everything shared during our sessions will be treated with the utmost respect and privacy.
Currently, I see clients virtually and am licensed to provide therapy throughout Pennsylvania.

I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental, and empathetic space.
As a certified sex therapist and marriage and family therapist, I have a unique understanding of complex relationships in all aspects of life. I enjoy working with individuals of all genders, ethnicities, and sexual orientations. I’m affirming of LGBTQ+ identities and those who feel misunderstood, marginalized, or like an “outsider.”
I work with a wide range of clients and relationship structures, ranging from faith-based couples to alternative relationship styles (Poly/ENM) and non-traditional dynamics. My purpose is to listen fully, understand your unique experiences, and work collaboratively with you to navigate whatever challenges you’re facing.
I’m not here to judge or to fit you into any preconceived mold. I genuinely want to understand who you are, how you move through the world, and what makes your relationship work the way it does. My approach is rooted in curiosity, respect, and collaboration so we can explore your challenges and strengths together.
I utilize a blend of different therapeutic modalities.
Recognizing that each person’s experiences and circumstances are unique, I tailor my therapeutic interventions to suit the specific needs of my clients. Whether you’re dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, or any other life challenge, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
I offer various types of therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution Focused Therapy (SFT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness.
